Last update:
In Death Stranding 2 you may come across aid requests - small side activities assigned both by the NPCs you meet and by other players. This page will explain everything about them, showing you how to respond to the requests and how to make your own request. You will also learn what you can get by doing them.
How to respond to an aid request?
You will be able to respond to aid requests after completing the first few main missions. In the radial menu, select the Aid Requests tab (second from the top). On the list you will see all the available tasks.
Most requests from NPCs are fairly straightforward and usually involve retrieving an item from a specific location, defeating a specific group of bandits or BTs, or building a specific structure. In the list of requests you can see what area the task is related to. You can also immediately place a marker on the map to show you the way.
Requests are usually minor tasks, which distinguishes them from full-fledged orders (described on the What are the types of orders? page). It is worth doing them because this increases your reputation with a certain group of people. You can also fulfill many requests while traveling to your current destination.
How to accept an aid request from other players?
However, aid requests can be posted not only by NPCs, but also by players themselves. If your console is connected to the internet, you will see tasks assigned by other porters in the requests list. By helping them, you will be rewarded with Likes.
If you would like to send an aid request yourself, hold down on the D-pad on the main game screen. In the interaction menu, select Aid Requests, then select the tag that meets your needs. The order will be sent to other players and with luck, one of the porters will answer your call.
