The fifteenth order in Death Stranding 2 is very intense. Your task will be to make your way through the burning forest, save a kangaroo and take it to a nearby animal shelter. On this guide page we have described how to prepare for the task, how to find the kangaroo and how to get through a bushfire.

How to prepare for the mission?

In this quest, the choice of path is obvious. The kangaroo is located in the middle of the forest inside the ravine, and the shelter lies on the other side of it. So you will have to make your way through the forest. The task is time-limited - you have thirty minutes to find the kangaroo and deliver it to the shelter. Don't worry too much, there is more than enough time.

The terrain is uneven and full of trees, so there is no point in using any vehicle - go on foot. Take with you some items unlocked in previous main quests:

  1. Tar Cannon - a weapon used to extinguish fires. Its size is XL, so place it on the tool hook to save space in your backpack.
  2. Floating Carrier - attach it to your belt. Once you find the kangaroo, place it on the Floating Carrier so its weight doesn't slow you down.
  3. Several ladders - the terrain in the forest is uneven and there are a lot of stone ledges to climb. Thanks to the ladder, you can also easily cross the narrow but deep river at the entrance to the forest.

You won't encounter any enemies during this quest, so you don't need to bring any weapons with you.

How to find the kangaroo?

The kangaroo lies right in the middle of the forest. Right after leaving the base you'll notice a fire has broken out in the forest - you'll have to get through the fire and save the animal. Place the ladder over the river right next to the base and head towards the forest.

You'll start to come across small fires along the way - this is a good time to familiarize yourself with the tar cannon. The gun slows you down drastically while you're holding it, so remember to holster it when you have to run. The unique feature of the cannon is that you can place it on the ground. The weapon then replenishes ammo when fired instead of losing it, but you are immobilized. Be careful when replenishing your ammo and don't let the flames trap you.

The fire is spreading faster than you can extinguish it. So just spray the flames that block your path and move forward. Grass areas are risky, but the fire will not spread to the rocks. So treat stone surfaces as safe areas and walk on them as often as possible. You can also climb to higher ledges or use ladders.

The kangaroo is lying on a large stone shelf in the center of the forest. Approach the animal and interact with it to put the kangaroo in the animal carrier, then place it on the floating carrier. You must now head towards the shelter, straight through the spreading fire.

How to escape from the burning forest?

Time for a mad dash through the flames. As before, stick to the rocks. You won't put out the entire fire, so just focus on creating a path. Look out for an orange light in the grass - it means that fire from the sky will soon hit the area.

Occasionally, you will encounter huge swaths of fire. In such cases, do not even try to clear a path - go around it, looking for a place where the fire is less intense. Sam can survive touching the flames without taking damage, but try to avoid them.

The fire will not reach the animal shelter - you will be safe there. Deliver the kangaroo to the shelter and watch a cut-scene during which the fire gets extinguished. This will complete the quest.
