In Death Stranding 2, you will face many bosses. If any of them cause you too much trouble, you can simply skip them. On this page you will learn how to do it and what are the consequences for skipping boss fights.

How to skip a boss fight?

To skip a boss fight you must die during it. Regardless of your death screen, you can select Pretend You Won option to skip this fight. This option is only available during boss fights, on all difficulties except Brutal.

After selecting this option, the game will take you to the moment after defeating the boss. This does not mean, however, that after a skipped boss fight, you will not fight someone else, as indicated by the message confirming that you skipped the fight.

What are the consequences of skipping combat?

The main consequence is that you don't participate in the actual boss fight. Instead, you get several screens with graphics and text that describe how Sam "won" this fight. You also do not receive a normal grade for completing a mission, only a special grade for an "imaginary victory".
