Ubisoft's flagship shooter series is set to return no time soon. There are fresh reports about the new Ghost Recon
A new installment in the Ghost Recon series is set to launch in the fall of 2026. Acclaimed insider Tom Henderson provided the first information, led by the game's working title.

Ghost Recon series fans will be happy to hear the latest news from insider Tom Henderson at InsiderGaming. According to the journalist, the next game from the series with the working title Ovr will enter the internal alpha phase in the fall of this year and will probably launch on the market in the second half of 2026.
The alpha version is supposed to be the result of a new milestone system for the biggest games, assigned to development teams by Ubisoft. In May, the French developer announced delays in the releases of major titles, apart from the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which is set to launch in 2026.
Where is the information about the presumed release date of Ghost Recon: Ovr from? As Henderson reported, the development of the shooter from the internal alpha to the final version should take the company about 12 months, so we can expect the game to debut in the fall of 2026. However, it's not clear if that will actually happen.
What's interesting, the company is reportedly going to reveal official materials from the new Ghost Recon next year. This is supposed to happen during the Ubisoft Forward show, which was canceled this year. According to the first news, the game is supposed to be set in Southeast Asia.
Let's not forget about the ongoing sale on the latest game in the series - Breakpoint, on Steam. You can buy the game for $11.99 until July 10th (its standard version usually costs $59.99). This is a good opportunity to try out the shooter before the new installment comes out.
