Release Date: July 2025 Early Access
An indie simulator focusing on following the evolution of fantasy fish creatures. Primordialis is a physics-based game. We construct beings using various types of cells and then develop them in a procedurally generated world. The game also features permadeath, which partially makes it a roguelike.
Primordialis is a simulation roguelike with an emphasis on physics-based interactions. We can create and develop fantasy fish creatures. This is a project of an independent developer and master of physics named Kyler Natividad.
We start the adventure as a fish equipped only with two spikes for protection. By defeating enemies, we unlock new cells and develop a body construction plan. Each of the elements from which we construct the essence has unique functions, combining to form defensive systems and movement systems.
The game encourages creative experimentation. The creature can be armed with venomous tentacles, electric shock organs, and even produce exploding offspring. Primordialis emphasizes physics-based interactions, allowing for unpredictable fights and movements.
We explore the depths of procedurally generated biomes connected by a network, facing environmental threats. Victories over bosses give us powerful mutations, while defeats require us to start from scratch.
Primordialis is characterized by a minimalist visual design in pixel art style.
