Microsoft increases prices for Xbox consoles, controllers, headsets, and soon also games
The domino effect is going wild. Before we know it, no big title will go for less than $80, especially now that even Xbox is raising its costs.

That $80 price tag for Mario Kart World on Switch 2 really kicked things off, setting the tone for the whole industry. First, people were questioning the $450 cost of the new Nintendo handheld, wondering what Nintendo was thinking. Then Sony came in with a PlayStation Plus price hike, and now Microsoft’s joining the trend with increases for Xbox consoles, accessories, and soon even for games. At least Game Pass prices won’t change.
