New update for Cyberpunk 2077 delayed. CD Projekt Red wants to make sure they're truly satisfied with it
CD Projekt Red has delayed the release of update 2.3 for Cyberpunk 2077. The devs are expected to inform players of further details „as soon as possible”.

CD Projekt Red studio has decided to delay the previously announced 2.3 update for Cyberpunk 2077. The Polish company is taking some extra time to make sure the patch they're working on is of good quality. Unfortunately, we haven't received a new release date for the patch yet.
We initially hoped to put Update 2.3 in your hands on June 26. However, we'll need some more time to make sure we're happy with it — we're aiming for a scope similar to Update 2.2. We'll update you further as soon as we can!
The developers have indicated that the upcoming update will be similar in size to the previous patch. Update 2.2 brought a lot of new elements to the gameplay. Here, we could mention a wider range of the camera in photo mode, an enhanced character creator, or a new gig.
The studio hasn't yet revealed what exactly will be in patch 2.3, so we have to wait for the official announcement of the list of changes. Let's hope that the extra time to work on the patch will make the game even better and give fans more reasons to come back to Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 was also recently released on the Nintendo Switch 2 console. Even though the sales of games for this device, which weren't created by the Japanese giant, are average, the Polish title for NS2 is very popular and sells well.
- Some players are worried that games like Cyberpunk 2077 could get banned in US under the Interstate Obscenity Definition Act (IODA) bill
- One of the gigs in Cyberpunk 2077 raised questions even at CD Projekt RED. „I would say that if you never have that discussion, you're probably not making art”
- „We tried, and it didn't work out.” CD Projekt RED has come to terms with its fate, confirming that it won't stop making games like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk
