Already over a million players have added Resident Evil Requiem to their wishlist on Steam and in the PlayStation Store, much to the delight of the developer.

Capcom boasted about this in an announcement published on X. As the data from Valve's platform (via SteamDB) shows, the "ninth" Resident Evil is in 29th place in the ranking of titles most often added to the wishlist on Steam. In the case of PS Store, we don't have similar information.

The announcement of RE Requiem was undoubtedly one of the most memorable moments of the Summer Game Fest 2025 presentation, even if only because of the teasing of the fans, including leaving the game trailer until the very end. This alone would have been enough to attract the interest of players, and then impressions from the closed show of the 30-minute demo started to appear, which seemed to optimistically tune the fans of the cult Capcom horror series.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
