“I was crying with laughter.” Christian Bale called “one of his tops” the 28-year-old film, which has only 16% on Rotten Tomatoes
Christian Bale's choice for one of his favorite films may seem rather unusual due to the reception of this production. However, the actor had a great time watching it.

Christian Bale is one of the respected actors, winner of an Oscar and Golden Globes. His contribution to cinema is undeniable, so it is surprising that the actor thinks he is “a bit illiterate when it comes to films.” As he admitted during an interview with GQ, he disappoints everyone with how little he knows about movies. However, he doesn't think that this knowledge is necessary for his work.
But while he sees his knowledge of movies that way, he does a great job acting in them and is happy to share the titles of his favorite productions. And one that he considers “one of his tops” may come as a surprise to many, as it turned out that Christian Bale is a big fan of Beverly Hills Ninja with Chris Farley. He shared this information during an interview with Esquire.
And Chris Farley was just phenomenal. Beverly Hills Ninja will always remain one of my tops. I have watched that movie. One time I sat down and watched it two nights in a row, and cried with laughter both times. The guy just was a phenomenon, and is missed dearly in my household.
Bale's favorite film, however, has not been as warmly received by critics or audiences. On Rotten Tomatoes, it has 16% positive ratings from reviewers and 53% from viewers. The actor apparently completely doesn't care what others think of Beverly Hills Ninja and is happy to watch it even two days in a row.
If you're not familiar with Beverly Hills Ninja, it's a film about a child who is found by and adopted by Japanese ninja warriors. Under their tutelage, he explores the mysteries of eastern martial arts, however, he still grows into a clumsy and unlucky man who accidentally accepts an assignment to protect a beautiful woman from her intrusive boyfriend. Together they set off for the States, and like a shadow, the clumsy ninja's companion follows them, tasked with watching and protecting the two.
