PS Plus members will gain access to three great games, including Diablo IV, for free starting tomorrow, July 1st, and available to claim until August 4th. This summer also commemorates the 15th anniversary of PlayStation Plus, which began service on June 29th, 2010. PlayStation plans to have multiple events throughout the summer to celebrate the milestone. July’s free games will be available to PS Plus members at every tier, including Essential, Extra, and Premium. Today, June 30th, is also the last day to claim June’s four free games if you haven’t yet.

Starting July 1st, PS Plus members can claim Diablo IV for free, along with two other great games

If you’re a PS Plus subscriber, remember to check in tomorrow for three free games. They will be available to claim throughout the month, but it only takes a moment to claim them. This month, until August 4th, you can claim Diablo IV, The King of Fighters XV, and Jusant for free at every tier.

These games were announced via the PlayStation.Blog as well as what subscribers can expect throughout the summer to celebrate the service's 15th anniversary. This will include a free trial of Monster Hunter Wilds and WWE 2K25, which are both available today for Premium members. But let’s take a look at this month’s free games.

Diablo IV

The latest entry in Blizzard’s long-running action RPG series, Diablo IV, was released in June 2023 and has continually released new updates since then. The last major expansion, Vessel of Hatred, was released last October. If you’ve somehow avoided this massively popular game over the last few years, now is the perfect time to give it a try. Even if you’ve already played it elsewhere, Diablo IV has cross-play and cross-progression, so you won’t have to start from the beginning if you don’t want to.

Starting tomorrow, claim Diablo IV to slaughter evil, master powerful abilities, and embark on a dark fantasy campaign either solo or with friends. Diablo IV supports local co-op for up to two players and online co-op for up to four players. This game will be free to claim on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

The King of Fighters XV

It can’t be a coincidence that the fifteenth entry in the King of Fighters series is available the same month as PS Plus celebrates its fifteenth anniversary. If you’re looking for a fighting game to keep you occupied while you wait for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, announced earlier this month, SNK’s most recent King of Fighters game will be a perfect fit. It’s got a similar 3-on-3 team battle system, plus 39 playable characters to choose from, including one character that’s basically just a guy with a dinosaur head.

The King of Fighters series has been around since 1994, and don’t worry about needing to play the other fourteen games in the series. If all you want is some classic fighting game action, you can claim The King of Fighters XV starting tomorrow, July 1st. This is the same developer who created the recent Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, so you can expect to see popular character Terry Bogard appear here as well. The King of Fighters XV will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Jusant

If you’re looking for something with fewer demons and violence, there’s a perfect indie game available for free this month, too. Jusant is an action-adventure puzzle climbing game from developer Don’t Nod, who is best known for the original Life is Strange. Explore a dry, desolate landscape that was once teeming with aquatic life. As your story unfolds, you’ll follow the footsteps of other people who once lived on this strange monolith in the middle of the desert.

Jusant is the only game on this month’s list that I have personally played, and it remains one of my favorite gaming experiences of 2023, the year it was released. The climbing mechanics are fun to tangle with, but what stands out with this game is the adorable companion that unlocks unusual powers as well as the creative world-building that this dry world is soaked with. Starting tomorrow, PS Plus subscribers can claim Jusant for free. Even if you haven’t heard of it, I highly recommend giving it a try. However, it’s worth noting that Jusant is only available on PlayStation 5, unlike the other games on this list.
