Release Date: June 12, 2015
Another reincarnation of the highly popular action-adventure game franchise originated in mid-90’s, sporting a license on the world’s most famous brand of toy bricks. This production by Traveller’s Tales Studios was created for the premiere of the film Jurassic World, however, the game’s story spans across the whole bestselling Jurassic Park trilogy.
LEGO Jurassic World is another installment in the series of LEGO video games that was started in the 90s of the 20th century. It was developed by Traveller’s Tales, a studio that started its adventure with LEGO in 2005 with the release of LEGO Star Wars, and since 2009 is almost completely devoted to creating video games based on LEGO license.
The game was released along with the adventure movie Jurassic World, directed by Colin Trevorrow. Its story isn’t based solely on its film inspiration, though, for it successfully uses motives of the Jurassic Park trilogy by Steven Spielberg. The action takes place on the island of Isla Nublar, where a unique theme park with living dinosaurs as the main attraction is located. As a result of an experiment, scientists created a completely new species, a mix of tyrannosaurus and velociraptor. The extremely dangerous animal gets out of control and poses a grave danger to everyone in the park.
LEGO Jurassic World is a TPS action adventure game. Apart from numerous crazy adventures and arcade elements, the game offers a whole bunch of movie characters and a specific humor of the series. LEGO Jurassic World also comes with cooperation mode.

While it may have its flaws, I was still perfectly satisfied with my time in LEGO Jurassic World. Fans of the LEGO games should basically know what to expect, and Jurassic Park fans should be more than happy with the story, cutscenes, characters, and references. It captured all of my favorite Jurassic Park moments and added its own unique sense of humor into the mix, and that's essentially all I really wanted. And if you still need a reason to play this, just remember that is has LEGO Jeff Goldblum. Let's be honest: that's all anyone really needs.
TrueAchievements: 4 / 5 by Marc Hollinshead
LEGO Jurassic World manages to keep the LEGO franchise alive with refined gameplay, new types of LEGO characters and a brand new film franchise to embark upon while still staying true to its roots. All four films are given plenty of attention and the combination of four hub worlds means that there's plenty to do. Having twenty levels in total as well as six bonus levels fleshes the game out more so Jurassic Park fans will find plenty in here that they'll enjoy. There are a couple of glitches cropping up but there's nothing completely game-breaking. While the dialogue may sound a bit off in places, that nostalgic quality means that both LEGO fans and film fans will be able to enjoy the game. The LEGO series is now ten years old but it still remains successful with its quirky humour and accessible, fun gameplay, and LEGO Jurassic World is definitely one of the best in the series. Whether you're a fan of the games or the films, it's certainly worth your time.
