The game of the same title is set in the 12th-century, in the tumultuous period known as the Anarchy. After the sudden death of king Henry I and the only heir to the throne having been killed in the crash of the White Ship, England gets consumed in a violent war of succession. With the war in the background and the tensions between the nobles, clergy and the common people constantly growing, the game tells a story about an attempt to raise a monumental cathedral in a fictional city of Kingsbridge in the south of the country. As for the game’s mechanics, The Pillars of the Earth is no different from a typical adventure game with gameplay based on exploration of different locations, conducting conversations, and solving various logic puzzles.

We play as a spy drawn into a complex scheme unfolding on both sides of the iron curtain that might greatly affect the political status quo. However, our actions require a vast amount of caution, since even a slightest incident or inconsiderate move can lead to the outbreak of World War III. Agent is a member of the popular TPP action game genre, while at the same time possessing some features of a stealth game. The plot continues the story from the previous games of the series. Once again, we lead a caravan of brave warriors who, in the face of the impending end of the world, have to defeat evil once and for all. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, not much has changed. The game is still a turn-based strategy with RPG elements. We will meet many NPCs, some of them will join us, and some will give us various quests to do. In combat, we lead a group of heroes who have different abilities and equipment. We can set up a camp to level up our warriors and equip them with better items between the battles. A point-and-click adventure game created by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winnick. The players are taken to the titular Thimbleweed Park - once a prosperous business area, now definitely past its prime. The player takes on the roles of five characters in total throughout this adventure and is capable of switching between them at any time. The characters present are a stronger feature of this game - apart from others, the player assumes the role of Ransome - a clown suffering from a curse which makes him unable to get rid of his stage make-up. Franklin is another of the characters the player will be in control of in this game; one day, he (Franklin) discovers that he has died. The player will also assume control of two detectives investigating a case of a body found nearby; Dolores on the other hand, needs to read the testament of her rich uncle. When it comes to the story, the creators mixed a unique taste in humor with different possible endings. All of this is complemented by visuals modeled after LucasArts' classics, as well as an interface resembling the legendary SCUMM system.

During the game we are given a chance to play as several independent characters, and it was the intention of the developer to present historical events from several contrasting points of view and to show moral controversy concerning the ongoing revolution. Depending on which character we control at the moment, the game features slightly different mechanics. Gameplay-wise, the expansion introduces changes in the alchemy system, enables the player to steer a boat, adds new kinds of weapons and enemies, including powerful bosses, such as a Basilisk or a Stone Golem, who require the player to conduct a research on their weaknesses in order to defeat them. Apart from the single player campaign, Pirates of the Flying Fortress offers four new multiplayer maps for the Adventure mode. The little protagonist is able to climb, jump, and squeeze through holes between rocks, but in some cases he needs help from the griffin, who can remove larger obstacles or carry the boy into seemingly inaccessible places. A direct sequel to the futuristic first person shooter released on PlayStation 2, created by Guerilla Games as an answer to the successful, and mostly Xbox exclusive, Halo series. Killzone 2 takes place on the home planet of Helghan, two years after the events shown in the first game in the series. This time, the player becomes a completely new character – Sergeant Tomas “Sev” Sevchenko – and is tasked with a counterattack against the enemy Helghan faction and capturing their leader, Visari, so he can be brought to justice. As the game debuts on next generation of consoles, the sequel offers great improvement in terms of visual quality, fully destructible environment, dynamically changing weather conditions and improved artificial intelligence – both of enemies and our allies on the battlefield. In comparison to the first Killzone, the number of available weapon types is larger and new vehicles were added.

Similar to the core game, the story of the expansion is set in Liberty City. This time, the player assumes the role of Johnny Klebitz, the leader of a biker gang known as The Lost. Apart from having to deal with a competitive group known as Angels of Death, the protagonist has to deal with internal power struggle and the insane former boss of The Lost. The player's base of operations is the hideout of the gang, where key figures can be met, and different mini-games can be played. The essence of the gameplay comes with the story missions however, the completion of which in most cases requires the player to reach a designated location, exchange fire with enemies or chase them in a spectacular fashion. As a biker gang leader, Johnny rides a bike for the most part, and he is often accompanied by other members of The Lost. A pirate tactical action game developed by a Shanghai-based studio working under Ubisoft. Skull & Bones takes place during the golden age of piracy on the waters of the Indian Ocean. The player assumes the role of a corsair who commands his ship while gradually building up his reputation and amassing more loot. At the beginning, the player has only a single ship, but as he progresses through the game he obtains an entire fleet of various ships that differ among each other in agility, firing range, and durability. Each ship can be customized with additional parts that change its looks and combat effectiveness. The game takes place in an open world in which the player competes with artificial intelligence and with other players. During the battles it is important to take advantage of water currents, prepare proper tactics, and to cooperate with allies. It is also important to select adequate ship for the type of task the player intends to complete.
